Shelly Norgard, Retail Manager, Mirvac, has been announced as the 2025 recipient of the Shopping Centre Council of Australia’s (SCCA) Frank Lowy Fellowship.

Ms Norgard has been recognised with the prestigious award after pioneering Australia’s first shopping centre-hosted speed interview recruitment program to support retailers struggling with staffing shortages. Ms Norgard’s determination to support retailers with strong sales potential delivered a 93% employment success rate, a 100% retailer return rate, and created a scalable blueprint now being implemented across the Mirvac portfolio.

Scentre Group’s, Amy Copley, Head of Marketing, Brand & Communications and; Vicinity Centre’s, Leigh Caulfield, National Facilities Manager – Business Systems, have also been recognised with a Highly Commended award.

The 2025 Fellowship was judged by a panel comprised of Elliott Rusanow, SCCA Chairman and CEO, Scentre Group; Chris Barnett, Head of Retail, The GPT Group; Nathan McConaghy, Director, McConaghy Group; Kirrily Lord, Executive General Manager, Retail, Dexus and; Sam Curry, Head of Portfolio (Retail), ISPT.

The Frank Lowy Fellowship winner, will receive a grant of $20,000 to put towards continued education.
