Scentre Group’s Head of Parking and Valet, Derek Cable, has been announced as the 2024 recipient of the Shopping Centre Council of Australia’s (SCCA) 2024 Frank Lowy Fellowship.
Mr Cable has been recognised with the prestigious award for his innovative work across Scentre Group’s Westfield destinations, including the introduction of ticketless parking, new business intelligence platforms and the establishment of a national call centre for car park operations.
Queensland Investment Corporation’s (QIC) Nathan Maroon has also been recognised with a Highly Commended award following his development of QIC’s marketing traffic and sales attribution model.
The 2024 Fellowship was judged by a panel comprised of Anthony Mellowes, CEO, Region Group and SCCA Chairman; Elliott Rusanow, CEO, Scentre Group; Peter Huddle, CEO and Managing Director, Vicinity Centres; Kylie O’Connor, CEO Investment Management, Stockland and; Alison Flemming, General Manager, Portfolio Management – Retail, Mirvac.
The 2024 Frank Lowy Fellowship winner, Pam Wilson, will receive a grant of $20,000 to put towards continued education.

She has recently implemented a new operating model that required a significant amount of change, onboarding new senior centre managers and overseeing the establishment of a refreshed organisational structure. This high level of change resulted in a large amount of disruption to the business, which Fiona managed exceptionally well.
